Aam Aadmi Party is not 'that bad' after all. BJP is leaving no stone unturned to emerge victorious in Delhi Assembly elections. We might hate Congress, we might love BJP but we can't ignore AAP. A party that made difference even in those 49 days. We write to you about why we think Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal deserves our attention.
1. Not Communal
Aap xxxx ho, isliye mujhe vote do. He made no promise to build either temples or mosques or church. He promised Lokpal and Corruption free governance. That's what he promised and he stood for.
2. Acts and Delivers
During his tenure of 49 days as CM of Delhi, electricity tariffs were halved for households using less than 400 units a month. He ordered audit of private discoms. 700 litres of free water for houses with a water meter.
The better part, now even parties like Congress are offering electricity as cheap as Rs 1.5 per unit. Its the same government that had been governing us since ages. You see what a perfect competition can do ;)
3. Checks and Balances of Power
Undoubtedly the most important reason why AAP must exist. Some one had rightly said "Do not put all your eggs in one basket." What if BJP fails to deliver the dreams and aspirations of millions of people who have voted it to power not only at the center but also in various states ? We need a political power to check and balance the power.
The person riding a scooter in the traffic near you could be the Law Minister of Delhi. Yes this is what makes AAP different.
5. Apology on face
Its the rarest thing in Indian politics. Apology makes it evident that you are at fault and we all know that Indian politicians are never at fault. But then there is Arvind Kejriwal.
Arvind Kejriwal has apologised for his term as CM and promises to amend them all for better if given a chance again.
6. Fearless administrator
FIR ordered against Veerappa Moily, Mukesh Ambani and Murli Deora over gas pricing. Remember, only AAP can do such adventures.
